Team Guyana dominates at Archery CDC
Team Guyana has once again done Archery Guyana proud at the 6th Caribbean Development Championships, which was held in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, from September 19-22, 2024. Seven countries competed, namely; Jamaica, Bahamas, Barbados, British Virgin Islands, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago and the USA.

Guyana to Host the 2026 Caribbean Development Archery Championships
The Board of Directors of Archery Guyana is proud to announce that Guyana has been awarded the hosting rights for the 2026 Caribbean Development Archery Championships (CDC), a proud and historic milestone for the nation’s sporting landscape. There are 32 member federations under the umbrella of World Archery Americas. However, only a subset of these were eligible to vote in the selection process for the CDC 2026 host: specifically, those English-speaking Caribbean federations that have participated in the CDC in the last three years or are English-speaking countries but have not yet competed. Following a competitive bid process between Guyana and Jamaica, Mr. Sergio Font, Secretary-General of World Archery Americas confirmed that following the vote, Guyana has been awarded the hosting rights for the upcoming Championship.

The National Federation, Archery Guyana is proud to report its outstanding results at the 2nd Annual CDAL 2025, with 40 local archers participating from various Clubs across Guyana, 10 advancing to the elimination rounds, and seven medals earned across several categories and bow disciplines.

2025 National Outdoor Archery Championship
July 12–13, 2025, at the Leonora National Track & Field Centre marked a landmark event for Archery Guyana. Under brilliant skies and despite passing showers that added aesthetic drama, 40 dedicated archers competed fiercely across Recurve, Compound, and Barebow divisions. The Championships doubled as both a national ranking event and a marquee audition for future high-performance squads and international representation.
