Archery Guyana will be represented at the 2019 Caribbean Beginners and Developmental Championships in Santo Domingo

Archery Guyana is excited and pleased to announce its participation at the III Caribbean Beginners and Developmental Championships to be held in Santo Domingo on June 28-30, 2019. Representing Guyana will be Local 2018 Outdoor Archery Champion, Mr. Robert Singh. World Archery Americas and the Archery Federation of the Dominican Republic invited beginners and developmental archers of the Americas to compete at the III Caribbean Beginners and Developmental Championships. Participation is not restricted to archers from the Caribbean; competitors from the entire North, Central, South Americas and the Caribbean will be competing for the Honour of the best Beginner and Most Developed Archer in the Americas for 2019.

In the First and Second years of this event, it was restricted to real beginners.  For 2019, the Organisers have added a second category, The DEVELOPMENTAL, which is a more advanced completion with a higher gradient of difficulty where participants will shoot at 50 meters (recurve at 122 cm faces, compound at 80 cm faces 5-10 scoring zones).  This new category does not include special limitations regarding equipment. In addition, Archers in this category may not have represented their countries at any World Ranking Events before.

The Archery Federation of the Dominican Republic has secured accommodation at the Olympic Village in Santo Domingo.
